“I want to thank you for the  wonderfully effective Yoga classes you’ve  conducted over the past couple of years.  I started out with you in an attempt to improve my overall physical condition with special emphasis on avoiding surgery to correct my L4-L5 spinal stenosis.  The TLIF surgery to fuse my L4 and L5 vertebrae turned out to be unavoidable, but the Yoga training you provided was indispensable in preparing me for surgery and recovery.

According to my surgeon, the strength, flexibility and weight loss I achieved mainly through your Yoga sessions made the surgical procedure itself  go far smoother.  I was in such great condition following the surgery that I was able to go home from the hospital the day after the surgery—a procedure that normally requires a three to four day stay in a hospital bed pumped full of narcotics.

My recovery also progressed far easier and with less pain as the muscle tone and leg strength gained through Yoga allowed me to move and exercise properly without placing undue strain on the healing bone graft.  Two weeks after surgery, I was relatively pain-free and off of all pain medications.

Thank you again for your expert instruction and guidance.  I look forward to continuing  Yoga as an integral and essential element in my physical conditioning and health maintenance.”

Feedback from the December 1st Back Care Class:
When I worked out with my trainer last night he was very impressed with what I learned yesterday.
I can already tell a difference!
Just the one class has raised my awareness. I mentioned to one of my co-workers this morning how he hunches his shoulders forward at the computer. I “saw” the rolled forward shoulders because of the training and told him about the shoulder roll.
I am more aware of my postures now, and also drink more water. Sitting with my feet down diagonally did help with my tailbone; it lifted pressure away.
